Why Live in Princeton?

The city of Princeton is a small community of about 4,700 people. Located just over an hour north of Minneapolis, Princeton offers a classic small-town atmosphere.

The City was known for lumbering, brickmaking, and farming back in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Princeton Farmers Market and the town’s distillery are the only surviving businesses from that time period.

The community offers outdoor recreational opportunities, unique shopping, and events all year long. Plus, the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge is less than ten miles south of Princeton and offers over 30,000 acres of serenity and outdoor activities.

Fun Fact: The Princeton School District serves the City and technically broke a world record in 2011. Students from the Princeton High School Student Council made a plan to simultaneously erupt 3,000 coke geysers. The students succeeded in erupting 3,051 geysers, but because Guinness World Records personnel did not officiate the event, it was never made official.
