Additionally, Blaine has 66 parks with hundreds of miles of trails and the Blaine Wetland Sanctuary which is 500 acres of protected open space to hike.
Blaine is also known for being a huge sports town with the National Sports Center and TPC Twin Cities being located in the city limits. The 3M Open is held annually at TPC and the National Sports Center hosts various sports, but most notably functions as a training facility for the Minnesota United FC.
